Hi
I recently installed Vista Beta 2 and everything was working fine until I tried to install my inexQ UR055g Wireless USB, first off I tried installing from the CD and Vista recognised the drivers but when it came to actually installing them it said 'File specified could not be found' so I thought possibly the disk had something wrong or maybe it needed newer driver fiules so I downloaded these from the site and exactly the same thing happens, even though the files are there Vista is saying they aren't and it's very very frustrating. The drivers work perfectly on Xp. Any help with this would be appreciated as it is going to be very difficult to use wired internet.
Many thanks

inexQ Wireless USB Drivers
Have you tried installing the driver from "Device Manager?" Have you contacted inexQ tech support about this? Are you using Vista x64? (All drivers must be digitally signed) Mark

Yes I have tried to install from the Device Manager and even though I thought this would work it didn't. I am running the 64x version yes, and every time I try and contact inexQ about this my email seems to be rejected.
Thanks Rich

Try searching this newsgroup. Within the last two weeks (or so) someone posted instructions for getting x64 to accept an unsigned driver, but I can't remember what thread or who the author is. It's a long shot, but maybe if you can get x64 to accept the unsigned driver your card will work. Maybe.

I searched for what you suggested and found it, I followed it through and it didn't work. My drivers are signed so I don't think it's that. Vista does the same thing whethe I find the drivers myself or let it find them automatically. It says 'Windows found drivers for this device but was unable to install them due to the following error - Cannot find the file specified.' The thing is the drivers are there I can see them, every single one...
Many thanks Rich

Ah, it was worth a shot. I have no other suggestion other than to search through here for advise on a card that works and then purchase one. Perhaps one of the more experience members here will have some better advice.
